AMPS Course Day One

What a day…!!!!!!
Up at 6.10am, at the COT by 8.30 and back home at 7pm

Managed to do so much – it’s not a case of sitting and listening!!
Everyone needs to remember to bring a highlighter. Luckily my supervisor had a space one. We spend the first morning, highlighting pages after pages.
What we did:
A little on the theory, although I manage to do most of the reading before the course
Learnt all the motor skills and analysis these with two case study
Discussed the process skills

I have managed to learn a few new things:
1.       Miracle Whip – appears to be very common kitchen ingredient in the AMPS examples. It’s a type of mayo…!! Someone on the course stated ‘ Miracle Whip is hard to grip’ (as the example experience a ‘grip slip’).
2.       Adapting Performance Skills are the hardest skills to understand at the end of the day, especially Adjusts and Accommodates – I just hope it makes sense by the end of the week.
3.       I have lots of problems with calibrates…I bang things all the time my cupboard drawers and I squeeze too much toothpaste everyday

The COT – supplied lovely coffee with COT mugs (I want one…) and biscuits – although no biscuits at 3pm break!!

Now to read chapters 5-6 …although I have a massive headache
